The goal of the Women’s Twilight League is to form friendships and have fun enjoying the game of golf. The league starts in April and ends in early October and may continue during the winter months, weather permitting. Come out and enjoy a fun and non-competitive atmosphere of good will and friendship with an enthusiastic group of women.
The league will be formed and operated by the league Coordinator with the approval of the Vallejo Golf Club. The 2019 coordinator is JuneGoudey firstname.lastname@example.org (Cell) 310-386-8021
Each player is required to pay a League fee of $15 that is used to support the final social hour as well as gift certificates and prizes. Applications for the League are available in the pro shop. All women may play whether they have a handicap index card or not. However, if they eventually wish to play in local tournaments an NCGA handicap index # is required (http://www.ncga.org). The fee for an NCGA card is $75 which allows the player to establish their handicap.
Green Fees for 2019 are $15 to walk and $23 to ride. (The regular twilight rates are $21 to walk and $31 to ride.)
PLAY, FORMAT, SCORING, GOLF CLINICS:
9 holes of golf, using USGA rules. Players may play more than nine holes if the conditions and the course allows.
Play will be individual stroke play. However, this is a non-competitive league so posting a score is optional. Some players just use this opportunity to practice their game.
Blue Rock Springs GC – Tuesday and Thursday tee times starting at 2pm.
Individual players will arrange to play with other members as available. Generally, this is done through an email the day of play.
Away games at courses such as Hiddenbrooke will also be scheduled throughout the season for those who wish to experience a variety of course options.
